Leveling Kit question??

got a question on the leveling kit, when you put the strut back in did any of you notice the steering pinion leak any fluid because of pulling it away from the seal while doing the install? I attempted to do the install but the seal came apart while doing it, I put it back together with no problem but had the fluid leakeage, was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if this is normal?

What is a steering pinion?
If you mean the rack,(rack & pinion) NO fluid should leak out,let alone "pull it out & put it back in".
But, I have had the dust boots on the end of racks get water in them, which isn't good, but is easier to deal with.
Please try to clarify what you did.
