Offroad lights

Has anyone mounted off road lights in the fog light location? I saw some PIAA hyper or super white lights about 4 inches. They have a black grill on them. Would this location be good for offroading or should I have some lights mounter in the bumper hole?

What type beam are the lights? My personal opinion is that fog type lights should be down low and towards the outside. Driving or pencil beam type lights, I like a little higher, such as on a bull bar or prerunner bar. Not to say it won't work like you have them, that's just my preference. Having them a little higher keeps them from being obstructed by grass or the like. Fogs down low to keep the light from being reflected back up to your vision as much.
