Utilitrack sliding bed extender

Does anyone know what the two straps are for on this accessory? Thanks

yes, they fit into the latches on the tailgate to keep the bed extender from bouncing up and down. they just push into the latches and to release them you pull on the tailgate handle. hope this helps.

If you lock your tailgate with the straps installed in the slots it will make it a little harder for some theif to just walk off with your extender.
