Q For those with HID's for Fog's

Hi I want to get another set of HID's for FOG lights.

What bulb do I need for the factory fogs?

Where is everyone mounting the ballast? I put the Ballast for the headlights on the tray under the lights, I don't think there is room for a second ballast.

I used industrial strength velcro for the Headlight Ballasts and it seems to keep them in place rather well (and can be removed without too much effort as well)

Also what color is best for HID Fog's I was thinking to get the same exact kit (different bulb type) for the foglights?

Fog Light HID question...

I have the same hid K rating in both and i taped both balasts together, bolted and zip tie strapped them together to that same support shelf.

I suppose I could Velcro anotehr set on top of the set I have! lol

How the hell did you get a drill in there to bolt them down? I'd ratehr do that but it looks like I'd have to pull the whole front end off!

I still don't know if I need 893 or 881 That thread gives me a headache...

Re: Q For those with HID's for Fog's

go in through the fender - forget about removing the grill it is not neccessary - two screws in the plastic mud/fender and turn your wheels to the left or right depending on which side your working on. or even better remove the wheel if you have big mama jammas like me.

Re: Q For those with HID's for Fog's

So your using self tapping screws and mount it sideways (not into the tray under the lights)?

Re: Q For those with HID's for Fog's

I have 2 sets of hids and I mounted both of the ballasts on that tray just using automotive 3m tape and zip ties. It will take a lot to get them to move. When installing the fogs you dont even have to remove the plastic in the wheel well, you have enough room between it and the fogs to do the work.

Re: Q For those with HID's for Fog's

I didn't do HID's, but I hope this will help. I replaced my OEM fog bulbs with Silverstars. They were the 893's, and fit perfectly.

It doesn't really matter. The HID bulbs have the two wires coming off of the bulb, so it doesn't matter if you order a straight or angled bulb. The mounting tabs are the same for both.

BTW, I ordered mine using the 893 number. Got the same color as my lowbeams. Fills in the "dead space" very well.

I mounted the boxes for the headlights behind the grill, using the mounting bracket and self tapping screws. I put the boxes for the fogs in the trays using heavy duty velcro.

it does matter actually about straight plug or angled plug...if u get the angled plug u will not be able to install the bulb without modifying it because of a "screw in the way" according to other fellow titan owners...

SO 880/881 will work IF they are straight plugs...

Well for me these will just be extra, I don't plan on using them for city driving. but on the way out to the desert, @ the desert or late at night I'll clickem on. Might be good for fog too vs the stock fogs with the HID lowes, or it might be too damn much output. I guess I will not be needing a lightbar anymore or offroad lights.
