Ok thats how I hooked mine up as well (just used a bunch of electrical tape to seal them up... But they sent me 8000K and I emailed them and they just now told me they don't make 880's in 6000K. I ordered 6000K, pretty frustrated right now and I'm not sure what I am going to do. I may send both sets back im so pissed right now.

I wish the JDM guy would have told me 880/881's only come in 8000K.

It's kinda cool I guess but not really my thing. He can get me 6000K if I wait for 2 months...

I'm thinking to just keep them at this point...At least the low beams are 6000k.

So I went for a test drive and you are correct! WAY Better with HID fogs as well! Hell I don't even care if they are 8000k you can't even tell with the headlights on. Really smooths out the light output way more than my stock fogs ever did. I did find an Excelent place to mount the Ballasts where they are much more protected from elements, and theives under the hood. Took a while to scope out the perfect location

Now will it be you or me who buys a Set for the Highbeams to finish her up lol. I think a simple relay would allow for all lights to be on at the same time

Only thing you need to thinkabout if you do the highbeams, is HIDs are not to be turned on and off suddenly/consitently. So turning the highbeams on and off everytime you see a car will decrese the longevity of your lights.. I think that's the only problem it would casue but that's alot of money to burn up $$$

lol...that would be great but I dont think so...u might have to do it...lol...If I could find some like the stockers on the 06 maxima...those sucker turn on bright and dont even need ANY time to heat up...they are bright and stay bright... anyone know of some that dont need to heat up...they even make a "smack" when they turn on...

why are they not made to turn on and off? I have never heard of a problem...thats what theyre made for...to turn on and off...like a light should do...maybe if theyre real cheap I can understand them going bad but I dunno...sounds if its true though...

"Flashing lights will shorten the life of the bulbs, please avoid flashing them frequently"

Went back and read the instruction book again for mine and that's what they said...guess it's not as bad as I thought it was...but like you said, you'd need some that do not have to heat up, or atleast heat up instantly..

but if it works LMK and I'll join the ALL HID CLUB!

Re: My NEW HID FOGs 6000K

I don't think I would be using the high beams much for on road driving not with HID's in the gos and lowbeams. haha

I might just go practical and get some silverstars and a relay so I can have the fogs on at teh same time as the highbeams if that is even possible...I heard that the fogs might be controlled by the ECU?

Think it is time to make a new thread lol.
