you just said you were going to buy a set of halogens for your high beams maybe?

Anyway HID Highbeams is approaching overkill. I'll stick to my Silverstar Highs, HID lows, HID fogs... each to their own! GL figuring out the combo that makes you happy..

Re: My NEW HID FOGs 6000K

How long do your HID's take to warm up? mine warm up in less than 5-10 seconds, except for one light that take about 30 seconds, not sure whats up with that!

I also found the box I got my lowbeams in the box is marked 6000k, yet when I call they tell me they only make those in 8000k. Who the hell are they trying to fool?

ye I know, I was saying MAYBE Ill change...BUT u cant tell the diffeence from the stock halogens and the silverstars to the HIDs...theyll both look way yellow and dim compared so Im just gonna save the money...

IF I find something thats awesome for the highs than Ill get em (MAYBE...lol...it is pretty overkill, but HID lows and fogs is kinda overkill also {brighter than heck})

Mine take less than 5 seconds about but for the highs I wouldnt wanna wait even that...like I said, my friends 06 maxima doesnt take ANY TIME to heat up they turn on strong and stay that way...if I were to get some highs they would have to be like that

Re: My NEW HID FOGs 6000K

I wonder if the Maximas are using modern xeon HIDs. My Mom's Murano also has very bright HID like lights that don't need to warm up.... Theres actualy 2 kinds of lights that can technicaly called HID. Short Arc (I believe what we have) and I forgot the other is. The kind we have being much more efficient but the other style is very bright also, just takes a bit more power to achieve an equal brightness, and I don't believe they need to warm up.

Not exactly what I was looking for but here is one link.

Are you sure the maxima uses xeon short arc bulbs? you should be able to tell by looking at the bulb itself.

shoot, I dunno...I just know her low beams take a couple sec. to heat up like mine...but her highs...she turns em on and they even make a smack noise and turn on bright and stay bright...no need to warm up...

your talking about when you flash someone when the lights are off right, and not when you turn the highs on with the lights on? cuz if your talking turning them on with the lowbeams thats because the projector flap opened and allowed all of the light out. if your talking about flashing them then i dont know, cuz when i would flash the highs on my 04 max the first flash would be sorta dim but the second would be fully brightened.

BTW thanks for the store name, i got my 6000K fogs installed today and i love them.
