About to take a long trip out to SoCal in the middle of September, so I think its time to pull the trigger on a bed cover..... based on my research from this site, I think the Retrax is for me. Anyone have an idea of the cheapest place to pick it up?
I actually called Retrax the other day because I have been considering a cover like it for a while now. They priced me out the door at $910 including shipping. They mentioned a $100 discount off of the regular price because I mentioned TitanTalk.
By the way, that was for the CC with the Utility package version.
edit: I spoke to Anita...

Is it just me or does $800-1000 too high for a bed cover? I mean for what you get. Anybody do the math and see what the pay back is on the gas savings? How many miles do you have to drive for it to pay for itself?

ditto, I called them direct and ordered from there. I think it was $890 to the door. That was over a year ago though.

I didn't get it for gas savings. I got it b/c the truck is my family hauler and I can keep luggage/groceries whatever in the back during a rainstorm, lock it and forget it. I spent the extra for the rolltop b/c I didn't want to fool with a bunch of straps or velcro (not to mention not being secure) and the rolltop allows you to carry tall items vs. a lift top where you have to take it off to do that. Nice product all the way around, worth the xtra bones IMO.
My dad has a ReTraxx on his nice Ferd F150 and after playing around with it I have a yearning desire to get me one too.....but I'm just too dang cheap....I need to learn how to let go of my cash....my wallets' getting so fat that it's making my butt cheek hurt yet I hang on to my dollar bills like they're family poitraits....maybe I need to ask the lovely Mrs.B for advice, she seems to have no qwalms with tossing cash carelessly into the wind......yep, gotta get me one of them "fancy pants" ReTraxx.

I bought one about half a year ago and love it. Great product. I bought mine directly from retrax (rolltopcover.com), and like spiritone mentioned the almighty Titantalk and got a discount. I can't really imagine anyone being cheaper than the source, but I have been wrong before..... I did get the tailgate gasket kit with it, and while it doesn't totally seal the huge cracks between the tailgate and the titan, I sure notice a difference in the amount of dust that gets in compared to without it. (I was in a lumber yard a few weeks ago and the 17 year old kid dragged a 2x6 right across the gasket and lifted it off).
EDIT--I didn't follow the instructions for the tailgate gasket--I did a bit of modifying to adapt it to the titan....

Did you put any kind of extra gasket aroung the tailgate, doc?
nah....tried to fool with the one they sent, but it wasn't even close to wide/thick enough to seal down the side of the gate. Still have VERY little water/dust come in that way.....just a few dribbles now and again.
I had one on my Tundra before I bought the Titan. It is a great cover and worth the money. You will pay about half the price for a good soft cover, and the Retrax is totally secure and works great. It is, without a doubt, the best "canister" type cover out there. I'm not getting one for the Titan because the bed is just too short in my opinion to take up the space with the canister, but if you are okay with that, definately go for it.
Don't get one for gas mileage...I have never seen an actual increase in mileage with a cover...it's for security and weather resistance. Mine did a great job of keeping out the water, but my Tundra had HUGE gaps between the tailgate and bed, so this is where the water entered on the rare occasion that there was any.
