just ordered Advanced cover

I just placed an order for the Advanced cover for my 2006 CC with the Utilitrack. Any tips on the install?

I have had my Advance Cover for over a year with no problems. Install is straight up. make sure everything is straight and in place before you tighten things up.

Very simple installtion but I can't remember how I did it. I do remember a great pointer someone passed on was to put the screws and support brackets together first, then slide them into the tracks.

Oh yeah, measure twice and line up the cover before you remove the 2 sided adhesive tape (weatherstrip) for installation on the truck.

You'll love it. The best thing about this cover is you can fold it up. I fold it up so I can see the empty boat trailer when I'm backing down the ramp. No boat guides because of the limited width of my side yard.

Re: just ordered Advanced cover

Does this cover install with the utilitrack in place or do they need to be flipped? Is there any drilling involved? Any pics of how it installs?

I was just going to get a Truxedo Lo Pro again, but was not a huge fan on how it interfered with the utilitrack stuff.

Thanks,

George

Re: just ordered Advanced cover

I Installed an Advance cover about two weeks ago on my 2006 KC, The Utilitracks do not need to be flipped, it is easier to put the brackets together and slide them into the tracks. The only issue I had was the "D" weathestrip peeled off after about 1 week, and the two corner trim pieces came off to. I cleaned the surface with denatured alcohol before the install. I emailed advance and have still not gotten an answer.... Otherwise I love the cover.
