The light will stay off until you take her on the interstate for about 45 minutes without shutting it off. Then it will stay on for good. Atleast mine did. Kind of sucks.
I had them put the stock sensors on my new rims from the old rims. If the rims do not have an extra threaded hole for the sensors there is a kit that straps them to the inside of the rim. check with your local rim shop.
TPS sensor mounting depends on which wheels you buy. A lot of the aftermarket wheels now will accomodate your sensors. That was one of the requirements I had when I bought mine.
Mine dash light comes on after about 45 minutes of driving, and stays on until I shut off the truck. Next start-up lights off, until another 45 minutes or so.
So there's a light on, who cares right?

my dealer offered to shut mine off, but only if he charges me for an hr of labor ($70). no thanks.
The mechanic performed this for me free of chage during my expensive 60K mi service - without even my asking. This "fix" is only temporary. The system eventually turns the TPS function back on within a short period (6 weeks for mine). Save the buck$.
I just tilt the steering wheel a bit higher so the TPS light is out of direct view.
