Does anyone make the blackouts for our trucks but not the tint blackouts but the velcro one's..?
Thanks
Lp Love, you do realize that people like my wife, the infamously lovely Mrs.B will run straight into the back of someone with "blacked-out" or tinted tail lights while putting their make-up on and simutaniously yakkin' on the cell phone and then point out the dark lenz's to the traffic cop while fluttering her pretty eyelashes and wearing a wonderbra ...... hypnotizing the poor traffic cop into writing you the ticket?

this is what mine look like. tinted not covers, it is applied just like window tint. installed a year ago and no problems. at night with the lights you can hardly tell they are on. during the day when brakes are applied you can see them just fine. i have even been pulled over for speeding and the PO did'nt say anything about it. if interested i definetly recomend tint...

I spray painted my ol' ranger tail lights...they looked cool but it does make your truck less safe.
Drivers are distracted more than ever these days, and they need all the help they can get from your brake lights brightly saying "wake up A$$hole I'm stopping, follow my lead."
It's a risk v reward decision.

i disagree, i drive a big red truck and seems not a day goes by where im not being bombarded from f-ing snow birds in every direction. if your gonna get hit your gonna get hit. you can park your titan right next to mine and when the lights are on/brakes applied you cant tell the difference. mine are tinted and not paint so that can make a difference.

Might make a difference, but it's a basic fact that you lose light output by tinting...how much is up for debate. I can tell that yours are less tinted than mine were.
Also, tinting removes the reflectivity built into most lights (although I don't know if this pertains to our tail lights...have not looked closely).
Like I said, I've done it in the past, so I'm not trying to preach that its wrong...just offering my two cents as you should at least CONSIDER the safety implications.

true true, you are right. block the light and less gets seen!

This is what mine LOOKED like. I bought a new Titan and had my new taillights sent off to get tinted just like these but a shade darker.
They are colored matched with my Galaxy Black, reverse lights left un-tinted, 3rd brake light tinted, and clearcoated.
This was his "medium" tint. I'm going with the Medium-Dark this time (should be getting them back this coming up Friday).
BTW, these will be for sale as soon as i get my new taillights back from the tint place. The only defect is the one piece at the top that broke off. I'm going to superglue it back on, and you won't be able to tell unless you are seriously inches away from it! Just let me know if anybody would be interested!
Thanks,
JD
