Low Profile light roof bar

Got this project done this past weekend. Basically a roof cargo bar with some driving lights. They are pretty weak compared to my 2 front off road lights, I just wanted some extra lights to aid those front ones. I need a new alternator now, lol.

Re: Low Profile light roof bar

Was this custom that you put together or was this a kit?

not really my style but it looks nice. is the light bar a modified part from another vehicle or did you make it from scratch?

Re: Low Profile light roof bar

I bought one of these racks from a guy at the CT forum:
http://www.toplinemfg.com/html/bk-maggierack.html
Painted it charcoal, then added 4 small off road driving lights on top. Simple process, but the trick was to hide all the wires. There are no outside wires showing.

Re: Low Profile light roof bar

I'm not a big light bar fan but I really like how that looks. Nice work! You can never have too many lights.

Not realy sure. Do a google search for that rack using the link I provided on the earlier post. I bought just one bar from Docopharm, a member from CT, he sold it to me for $40.00. I think it's around $150.00 for both. The part numbers are on that same link, so you can probably just order in sections.

Re: Low Profile light roof bar

Some night shots. The roof lights are not that bright like the 2 front off road ones. I wanted mainly for auxiliary. You can probably buy some more expensive brighter ones, but I just don't have the money for them right now.
My 2 front Off road ones only comes on when the High Bean is on. The top ones have a swith inside the cab.

PIAAs are awesome, I which I had the money for them. Do they have smaller ones than those round ones?

You have to drill 2-3 holes each side on the roof. I only did 2, since only 2 were needed to hold it well.
