Re: ***Help***back-up sensors***

It never occurred to me that someone would steal THOSE. I've got wheel locks and the spare tire lock but who would think the "average" person would even know what those four little round dots on the rear bumper are!?!?! And aren't they pretty useless without the associated electronics? Maybe it's another Titan owner who creamed his back bumper and doesn't want to buy new sensors. Jeez...can't trust anyone!

Re: ***Help***back-up sensors***

Thats messed up I would have never thought of someone stealing those.

I would look around. Do you want to replace them or just cover the holes. You can probably find a web site that will sell the covers for vehicles without it equiped. I have not clue what they would cost new.

Re: ***Help***back-up sensors***

My dad has some aftermarket BU sensor system on his RV. I think it was inexpensive, and came from JC Whitney. A sonar sensor is a sonar sensor in my opinion. The ones on the RV look the same as the ones on my Titan. Maybe get some cheap ones and plug 'em in. See if they work, or, go borrow them from some buddy's motorhome for a test.

Or, call somebody who customizes the Titans, and changes out the rear bumpers for some used stuff.

NCD in Oxnard might have something.

Re: ***Help***back-up sensors***

Wow! That definitely has to fall into the category of "That sux!" I can't imagine those are cheap. Or particularly useful without the rest of the electronics, as someone already said. Just keep an eye on your truck for a while. Who knows what they'll be back for.......
