Re: Glass fenders installed....

I just had mine painted for Christmas. If you don't get a custom liner made, spray paint above the fender liner black. It makes it look pretty clean. I used engine block paint to help with the heat. Nice install

Never thought of it. I am planning on replacing these within the next year or so. The black paint is a good idea though. I might just do that for now. I will most likely rattle can them to match the red as best I can. They are going to get beat up and scratched, so I'm not too concerned with the finish.

Any reason you didn't get them painted before you installed them?

Re: Glass fenders installed....

Needed to make sure they fit first. I wanted to do all the test fitting and drilling before paint.

Re: Glass fenders installed....

how are was the install on the Hanneman's? looks like they lined up pretty good. i tried helping a buddy of mine to install his glassworks fenders on his f-250 and it was a nightmare. those things would not line up for anything and then when we drilled them and tighting down the nuts they were cracking. and on some of the corners there wasnt enough fiberglass so it was real weak and the one corner had a hole in it and stuff. it was just a mess and they are still sittin in his garage.

Re: Glass fenders installed....

The glassworks are a 3" rise and a 3" flare. the hannemans are a 3" rise with a 4" flare. I got these from another member here and the price was right. I will be hammering the $hit out of these while doing some suspension testing so I will be replacing them with some glassworks once these self destruct.

The instsll went smooth, seeing as how Jason had all the holes already pre drilled. The fenders don't really line up that well. But they will serve their purpose.

Sweet casey. I know you said you were going to buy them but I didn't know you already had them. Looks good. You have my gears turning in my head now.

Re: Glass fenders installed....

Any plans for the front bumper? It's pretty noticable now that the bumper isn't as wide as the fender lip in the front. Nice look, though!
