Dood what shop is doing the work on your truck? I got a small dent that needs work too. I am in So-Cal too!

Dont feel bad man, Somebody I know pulled off the side of the road to finish a conversation with a client before his signal died. the shop said they've painted them previously, should last a very long time. In any event - I'm having the rear painted to match the truck - thanks for the idea TCW!

Mine has been painted for almost 2 years now and it still looks exactly like it did when it was first painted. I was told that if plastic is prepped properly than painting it is not a problem. I run my truck through my Automatic Touch-Free car wash (which uses lots of chemicals and extremely high pressure spray) all the time and nothing has happened to the paint job.

No I didn't have the top rails done, just the bib and now the storage box.

I have the Undercover Tonneau cover which is also plastic, which I may have painted on day.

Cool. Can't wait to see the pics.

I was really surprised at how many people I know gave me positive comments after I had it painted to match. It was usually people that weren't really into cars/trucks either.
