Dont feel bad man, Somebody I know pulled off the side of the road to finish a conversation with a client before his signal died. He parked right in front of a 3' high yellow pole, didnt put it in park, then lifted his foot off the brake to write down a phone number....CRUNCH! he only rolled a foot but it was hard enough to make me think I was hit from behind. 2 weeks later after the bumper gets fixed, rear ended by an oldtimer at a red light 45 mph hit 2 cars back, domino effect, yeah need another front bumper!

Thanks! I think it looks smooth too. I had the black bib on the tailgate painted to match also but that was almost 2 years ago.

q about the painted rear bib, how well does the paint hold up on the plastic, and did you have the plastic top rails done as well?

the shop said they've painted them previously, should last a very long time. In any event - I'm having the rear painted to match the truck - thanks for the idea TCW!

Mine has been painted for almost 2 years now and it still looks exactly like it did when it was first painted. I was told that if plastic is prepped properly than painting it is not a problem. I run my truck through my Automatic Touch-Free car wash (which uses lots of chemicals and extremely high pressure spray) all the time and nothing has happened to the paint job.

No I didn't have the top rails done, just the bib and now the storage box.

I have the Undercover Tonneau cover which is also plastic, which I may have painted on day.

Cool. Can't wait to see the pics.

I was really surprised at how many people I know gave me positive comments after I had it painted to match. It was usually people that weren't really into cars/trucks either.
