SMOKED Custom Volant Intake G3 Plexi Cover

Hey guys- I went over to Vaughn's house tonight to pick up the new completed covers for my G3 Volant. I installed the SMOKED one on my truck. I think it looks great! I'm very happy with the way it turned out.. Vaughn did an excellent job getting a PERFECT fit! Thanks Vaughn! You 'da man!

Here are some pix I took tonight - I'll get some daytime pix up this weekend.

I also have the clear one that I'm going to get sandblasted to match my coming painted engine cover. I haven't decided which one I'm going to run with, but I'm really liking this smoked one. What do yall think?

Anyone notice my beautiful looking throttle body spacer in the background?!?

Very nice!! I really like the smoked one myself, but I'm not too much for painted engine bays...

Just my 2 cents.

my painted engine cover is not going to be an "in your face" type cover-it will be subtle with lots of dark colors..

Don't think I was knocking it brother, I'm sure it will look great and I'll have one more thing to be jealous about when looking through the forums. I've just seen some that were not done tastefully...

For me, I'm just glad I don't have to be wrenching all the time on my Titan, so I'm proud my hood stays closed!

That's what I meant...it's not going to be an "in-your-face bright color" cover...it's going to be subtle.

Nice!
I really like the way that looks under the hood...can't wait to see what the painted one looks like with your custom engine cover!

WOW!! The smoked cover really looks good in the daylight! Thats what I like...subtle touches here and there to personalize ones ride! Not that "over-the-top" is a bad thing...I just prefer subtlety.

Re: SMOKED Custom Volant Intake G3 Plexi Cover

Smoke Cover looks good....

I'd advise against painting your engine cover...as a matter of personal taste but to each their own.

I think that painted engine covers only work if the entire engine bay has a "show" look to it. Otherwise you have a spec of color in a sea of black and gray....if that makes any sense.

Let us know how it turns it out.
