Pace Edwards Bedlocker won't open??

Got a new bedlocker and installed it fine. Worked well with no problems.

Tried opening it today and all I get is a "Click" from the box.

Any ideas???

Could it be binding now?

I had mine for over a year and never had any trouble. Did you take the cover off to see if anything was jammed? Mine was getting slow, so I lubricated everything and now it is working great again. Make sure the tracks haven't moved, and maybe try pulling on it while you hit the close button.

Re: Pace Edwards Bedlocker won't open??

For the help of others that might experience this problem. They had a problem with some of their Brake Mechanisms failing. Easy fix. Just take 3 screws out from the side of the motor and the unit comes right off. The brake is added so that the bedlocker stays locked inplace once the pressure sensor shuts off the motor. Without it, the cover may activate with vibration of the moving vehicle. Actually happened today.

Good customer service.

Should be good as new next week.

How do you get to the motor? When I take my cover off all I see is the big roller.

With the cover fully closed I can see the motor from the driver's side.

Stuck my hand into the box and took out the brake by releasing 3 screws.

You don't have this?
