Is the fit any better? My old one scratched the heck out of the top of my grill, just under the hood. Ended putting some rubber cabinet bumpers just under the bug shield mounting points. They could have done a better job of bending that tab to contour the hood.

ill see if i can get some better pics tomorroe but for now here are some pics from tonihgt in the rain...as far as DOES IT FIT BETTER .. this is my first one ive ever had .. so i wouldnt know if it fits better than later models... i know that this one seems to fit good but i have nothing to compare it to.

cost was 109.99 shippd to my door from JC WITNEY
and yes i like it .. ill see how it does when i take my trip to Colorado from TX in early June.

I had to dremel some of the mounting tabs on mine because of the way our hood is designed the flat mounting tabs were in the same location as parts of the hood that bump out. So I could never get the stupid wellnuts to seat without some grinding to the tabs. I hate those stupid things. Not big deal though.

hmm i noticed that to but with the right amount of pressure it seemed to kinda warp/ bend ot the shape it needed ot be in ... i know exactly what you are talking about .. there are humps right next to the holes on each side of the outer underside mounts .... but i diddnt need to dremel anything.

okay here are some daytime pics from the front ... truck is dirty form all the recent rain.
(you can see my wife sitting in the truck in these pics... she was leaving for work.. she thought she would be silly and make faces and do silly poses for the camera... )
