I had something similar on my Frontier. It was secured to the hood using some sort of really HARD velcro. You might be able to get away with NOT using the clips, and using that material instead, but then you'd have the holes left over. Ugly.

Re: Bug Deflectors

Not only that, but I have an issue with sticking anything to my paint. My Dad had a flector on his truck that had those little rubber dots that stuck to the hood to keep it from slapping against it. They kept falling off. Those things NEVER stayed on. There was no constant pressure on them, they were just bumpers so after some time, they just fell off. That's not something I want on the loose end of my flector.......

Re: Bug Deflectors

Well - here's what happened. No one in town carries the Lund in stock, so I had a local truck parts store order one for me. It took over 2 weeks for it to come in, and it ended up being a low profile version. It didn't even extend high enough to cover the hood bend. I immediately got my money back and went to a glass tint store. They had an EGR in stock so I had them put it in the back of the truck & I installed it today. It looks pretty good, but I am also not a big fan of the screws that show on the ends. I used the protective tape supplied with the kit. Hope it holds up. I'll try to take some pics of the truck tomorrow and post. I need one on my signature anyway. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Bug Deflectors

I was browsing this thread, as I wanted a bug deflector as well. Thanks guys for the pictures. I've decided to go with the Lund X-Terminator. Got it for a great price too.

Re: Bug Deflectors

I bought an AVS today. It doesn't cover the ends of the hood, leaves 1/2-3/4 at the bottom exposed. I adjusted it forever. Maybe it's a defect. I will return it to Autozone tomorrow. My brother has an AVS on his new Tacoma and it fits like a glove. Any other suggestions?

Re: Bug Deflectors

Check out driverdesign.com. I had the LE version on my F250 and if I put one on the Titan, it'll be this one. There are brackets that make it stand off the hood and it is acrylic not lexan so it is stiffer. Just my $.02
