Chrome Westin Step Bar Question

I had Chrome westin step bars put on friday, but was wondering if they're put on backwards. Take a look at the pics. Notice how close the step is towards the front and how forward the back step it. Do you think I should have them swap them around. Drivers to passenger. I notice other stock trucks the front step is back more, being more user friendly.

Re: Chrome Westin Step Bar Question

Get under there and look to see if the ends of the bars mount up flush to the brackets. I could go out and look at my truck but im kinda lazy. The ends of the bars are open and have a threaded insert for the bolts to mount them. They do go on one way only and the ends of the bars should be flush to the mounting brackets.

Re: Chrome Westin Step Bar Question

They look alright to me. When I put my N-Fabs on, I thought the steps were a little far forward. But when you open the door, they are positioned near the footwells, not centered on the door. Think about it. You don't want them too far back because you don't want to have to reach for them past the front of the seat.

Re: Chrome Westin Step Bar Question

I have to say, here's another pic of a truck with them. Looks like yours might be right.

I love 'em! They're not cheap, but I like the more subdued approach they provide. Besides, everybody and their grandma has the stainless or chromed ones. They're as common as those old aluminum flat running boards were back in the 70's. They look good, hold up well, are sturdy as hell, and from the few who have had issues on here, N-Fab has stood up and taken care of them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for steps.
