Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

If you had to buy a set in perfect condition... No tire pressure sensor, or tires... What would be a good going price?

Would $800 be a good price? (not including shipping)

What about the graphite set USED in good (not perfect) condition? $150 decent?

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

$800 is kind of steep for chrome OEM rims. Ebay has OEM chromed rims for $400 with a swap of your current (same style) rims. For $800 or a few dollars more you could get some good aftermarket.

I found these on ebay... but upon further reading they have taken OEM rims and had them stripped and then triple chromed. These are NOT factory Chrome rims.

I will look for those you mention.

Thanks for the reply!

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

With the ebay swap you have to pay double shipping, so it is still close to 800.. better to just get some aftermarkets for that price. I already was looking for some chrome oem's but for that price forget it.

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

I'd just save up another $ 800 and get some nice aftermarket rims.

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

Well if u get the newer factory chrome wheels u wont even get chrome wheels... ull get wheels with chrome CAPS...

AND u can find some places where they will swap ur rims for chrome ones for about 500 shipping both ways... talk to the ebay guys... theyll work with u... I wouldnt recommend though either way... the chrome doesnt stick to the alloy that well and u MIGHT (good chance) have some pitting provs and stuff down the line... even though they are warrantied, u dont wanna be sending em in to rechrome and be without em and stuff...

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

They better come w/ tires for that kinda price. And that swap deal on ebay charges a flat 2-way shipping charge according to your zone so for me I'm lookin at around $550 shipped for tripple chrome plated OEM wheels.

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

Just bought 07 Titan SE Crew with Rockford/Chrome package. Thus came with the Chrome Wheels. First couple days real hot so had windows up with air on. However since it's cooled off noticed rims making strange noises. Like plastic hubcaps.....has anyone had this problem? And if so what was the fix have 500 miles on it and will be taking back to dealer for resolution but have not had great experiences with car dealer repair shops in the past have had to hold theyre hands and point them in the right direction. With this one have strange feeling they will tell me that it just the way these rims are. Will not be happy at all with that answer so would like some amunition to fire back. Knowledge is power with these guys.

Sorry for the bad news but the 07's came w/ some cheap chrome wheel "covers". They're not even real chrome rims.

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

relize that but here in CT better with this set up as the full chromes would pit up bad. Just looking to see if anyone who has the "cheap chrome wheel covers" has had the same problem and if so what the fix was. Thanks for you opinion however.

Nissan is well aware of this problem with the chrome clad wheels. They are suppose to be releasing a TSB on it. The fix being "better glue" to stop the noise.

Re: Question about 18" Chrome OEM Rims

Update on Rims. Since original E-mail had rims replaced twice. So if you include the orginals went through 3 sets of rims in 5,000miles. More rims than oil at that point. However once I threatened to return under lemon law they agreed to replace with real chrome. So no more noise from the dam wheels. This really did take the shine off the purchase off fast.
