Does anyone have experience with Extang FullTilt Tonneau Cover? I am thinking about the FullTilt, reasonably priced at about $340, and only weighs 30lbs, hinged and rolls up.
Thanks!
I looked at this 1 too for a while, then decided against it:
a) has the dreaded (for me) snaps
b) you still have to drop the tailgate or pop snaps to release it
c) it does not work with bed extenders
d) after rolling it up, you have to remove the ribs to fully use the bed & the frame rail over the tailgate would still be in the way
d above isn't an issue if you are just dropping stuff in, but if you need to load something big (like forklifting 1/2 pallet of mulch or loading furniture for example) it's a pain.

Looks like Im leaning towards the Trifecta, didn't know that you have to unlatch the tailgate every time you want to drop something in the bed with the fulltilt. They do make a version that has snapless seals, however i don't like the frame that goes across the tailgate.
I previously had a Truxedo Lo Pro cover on my '04 Titan and it was great. Easy to use, rolls completely out of the way and doesn't impede much on bed use. It was a little difficult to install, but once on it worked flawlessly. It was pricey (about $465 at the time) and had the standard looking black vinyl. It also had the better rail clamping system than the currently offered Lo Pro models.
I recently picked up an '06 Titan (long story) and ordered an Extang Trifecta Signature Series Canvas cover this time around. The Signature Series Canvas top looks great and was $100 cheaper than the Truxedo. It went on quickly and looks really sharp on the truck. Much better looking than the vinyl in my opinion. The seal doesn't seem as tight as the Truxeo, but so far not leaks. Plus it came with a free MaxSeal Tailgate seal. As for functionality, I miss having the extra bed space (18-24 inches) that I had with the Truxedo when its folded up. It's not as secure as he Truxedo because the Trifecta is held down by spring loaded latches that can be lifted up at the tailgate section allowing thieves to peek at what you have in the bed. While it may not be that easy to pull something out from under the cover, thieves can still look to see if it's worth cutting the top to get to. One thing to mention is that the Extand customer service people are very friendly and helpful if you have questions or concerns about your cover. I contacted them about a 3-in section of damaged rubber seal and they sent me 8-ft of the stuff for free.
The comparison:
- Either cover does the job of keeping your gear covered and dry, but the protection/safety factor goes to the Truxedo.
- If you plan to leave the cover on all the time the Truxedo is the way to go.
- If you need the extra bed space when rolled/folded then the Truxedo is a better choice.
- If you plan to regularly install/remove the cover completely then the Trifecta is a better choice.
- If you want a cover that looks fantastic and won't look like your neighbors soft cover then go with the Trifecta Signature Series.
- If you want a cool look but dont' want to spend more than $375 go with the Trifecta Signature Series (or even less for the standard Trifecta)
- If you've got deep pockets and plenty of cash lying around go with the Truxedo.
I hope this gives a reasonable account of both cover's positives and negatives. Good luck choosing one...or one of the tens of other covers out there.

I'm looking at the Extang as well. Its my first tonneau cover ever and need something easy on and off thats durable.
hey, Green Titan, what kind of rims are those? thats exactly the look i want for mine.
Thanks!
Those are factory rims from the Off-Road package. Same as what came on the truck. I had them powder coated.
You can probably pick up a set on here (not black) for $200.

I'm still waiting to see if anyone used the Extang Tuff Tonno, or the Sabor Tanno. Any Thoughts fella's?

I have the folding cover (4 pieces) from Advance Cover (spelling???). Waterproof and works similar to a hard top but with the utility of being able to fold/open partially. Can be accessed at both ends, comes with a keyed lock at each end too. Have it on for almost 2 years and no problems.
There's another folding cover similar to Advance Cover but I don't remember the brand.

There is the BackFlip - it's nice, but pricey .......
I never looked at the Extang Tuff Tonno, or the Sabor Tanno when I was researching for mine, so can't comment on those 2.
