Leveling kit

Re: Leveling kit

depends on the brand..

PRG's kit are by far the best ones on the market with no issues.

Re: Leveling kit

Well the two most common used here is the PRG kit and the NCD kit. Both of these will be good. Personally i would stay with the kits that are 1 piece. I mention this because ive seen kits on ebay that are 2 piece welded. This is just personaly opinion though, i dont think there has been any issue with the other kind yet but 1 piece is probably stronger than 2 pieces welded together.

Re: Leveling kit

If you were on a tight budget, check out the NCD kit. Its 5 dollars more than the top gunz and its a solid piece. But if you can spend a little more go with the PRG kit. That way you will get the bumpstops included. Its all up to you.

Re: Leveling kit

Don't underestimate the importance of bumpstops. You're not getting any more travel with a leveling kit, but you do the the potential for the travel. Without the bumpstops, you're likely to need new front shocks after the first big hit.

The original daystar kits did not have bigger bumpstops and this forum is filled with bad news about them.

100% true. I didnt get the bumpstops from NCD. He said I didnt need them, and I learned the hard way, blowing out both struts on a big bump!
Now I am waiting to get a set...

Does anyone know if I can pick up a set at an autoparts store?

Re: Leveling kit

I think they are available at most autoparts stores for around $25 or $30. Call Greg. He may have some laying around he wants to get rid of....
