Comparable to...? I say they are the definition of Snake Oil, LOL! Tornado's concept is a good one. However, the "vortex" it creates is too far away from the combustion chambers. Most modern engines have "swirl" built into the combustion chambers and/or intake ports and/or intake manifolds. This swirl increases fuel atomization and can increase efficiency. However, the amount of unburnt hydrocarbons in a properly functioning modern engine is a VERY low percentage. Most manufacturers use these "swirl" techniques to help cold start emissions when the O2 sensors are not functioning and the ECU is running in Open Loop mode(not referencing the O2's, just running off of a generalized base map). This dumps large quantities of fuel and therefore greatly increases unburnt hydrocarbon percentages.

Enough of the engine technobabble... plain and simple... they are bull honky.

Re: Improving Gas Milage??

My Titan avg's 18 MPG, a significant gain from 15 MPG. It's bone stock.
I use some snake oil called BiTron...dumped it into my Engine, Transmission and, differential case, and use about 1oz/10gal of their fuel conditioner. I'm thinking about purging out the axle greases for their grease.

Re: Improving Gas Milage??

It's been awhile since I've read through this thread but I don't recall anyone calling any fuel, oil, or lube additives snake oil. From everything I've heard on those, they almost always work for as long as they're being used and for a little while afterwards. The downfall is usually the costs involved with continually buying more for continued use and those cost offsets are probably changing with the gas prices rising at the rate they're going. Just keep in mind that the Titan's rear can be susceptible to failure if an incompatible mix is used inside the Rear Diff.
