Beefier Tires to fit Stock Rims?

I'm wondering if there's a good brand of tires to replace the stock ones on my 18" 2008? The goodyear's will run for a while longer but when I upgrade I'd like to keep the same rims (can't afford new rims yet!) and get a tire with a little more lug and sidewall bite to it.

Any suggestions?

I just got Nitto Terra grapplers, 285/65/18 with 18" wheels, No lift, just a little trimming, Pinch weld mod, much more aggressive. Should fit stock wheels

I can suggest a few if you tell me what you use your truck for (towing, mudding, all highway driving, etc.).

Winter - driving through lots of snow getting to fishing spots
Spring - Pulling a small boat
Summer - Pulling a small boat, road trips
Fall - A serious amount of off road through sticky clay mud trails

So a little bit of everything! I can tell you that humming on the highway won't bother me that much - I just want something more aggressive for my fall and winter driving and tires that fit on my stock rims.

Those look tight - I'll have to look into this pinch-weld mod.

I'd check out the Cooper Discoverer STT. They're less agressive MTs so they're quiet, they ride nice, and they'll last 40k miles. They do well when towing heavy loads, and they perform excellent offroad in mud and sand. I live in Fl so I can't say for sure how they do in snow, but I've heard they do good. I would get either the STTs or the Toyo MTs if you're going to be in sticky clay, because no AT is going to clean out well.
