Painting Intake Manifold Cover?

Hey all - I see that many guys here have painted or added vinyl to the plastic intake cover. Is there anything to watch out for as far as heat goes when doing that? I was thinking of finding some cool vinyl graphics and then after taping the abs chrome adding some clear coat over the entire thing to even out the look.

Any thoughts?

Re: Painting Intake Manifold Cover?

If you do a search there are a few threads discussing this issue. I think they use a specific paint that adheres well to the intake cover.
