PIAA 1500 Aux Backup Light System

I just installed them this morning. They are awesome if anyone needs additional light backing up either because of tint or trailering or just because you are blind.

They came with a three way switch (Off, On, On with reverse lights) and are much brighter than I expected. The install is very simple, just takes a long time if you want to do it right. It took me about three hours to run all the wires and mount the lights. Anyway, attached a couple pics, the inside of my truck really isn't dirty, the flash just kills it.

They're actually recessed pretty far back (I mounted them to the hitch mount) and they'll never get dunked, they're way too high. Let's put it this way, if they get dunked, my exhaust will be submerged and when I launch the boat, my rear wheels barely get wet.

Re: PIAA 1500 Aux Backup Light System

I just got to use them at night for the first time. Definately worth the money if you need the light, they're blinding if you look right at them.

Thanks, I'll mess with it and try some different things. I just have an 8 Megapixel Sony with most of the settings at auto.

Re: PIAA 1500 Aux Backup Light System

I got them at an auto store by my house called the Drivers Seat. I paid 160 for them, but on PIAA's website they are almost 200.

Thanks for the memories. I grew up about 5 minutes from the stadium watching them through the terrible years. Between the Pats/Sox/Celtics, I really don't have too much to complain about.

With that being said, I would have much rather had them lose 4-5 games and win the Superbowl than do what they did...

Now that right there is funny! I laughed my azz off when i read that! Though i will have to say that i am a big BoSox fan. My buddy used to pitch for them in the starting rotation until last year.
