2004 king cab tmps question

Hello,
I guess I should say what I want to do before I ask the question. I need to replace my tires (17 inch rims) soon, and for a good replacement tire it is relatively expensive- so, I would like to purchase snow tires for my 17 inch rims (and keep the tpms sensors in the 17 inch rims) and purchase 20 inch rims/tires (taken off from someone else's titan who bought aftermarket) for summer use. Every time I see them for sale (ebay) the TMPS sensors have been removed. This way seems not to cost THAT much more money, and allows both summer and winter tires- and with the cost of switching between the tires, should pay for itself over a few years. I plan on keeping the truck another 15ish years.

The best I can tell if you run rims without the sensors installed, the warning light/beeping alarm will sound every time? Is there a way to disable the tpms system for the summer months?

I have a 2004 titan king cab, SE model, 4x4 with off road package.

I appreciate any help,
Brian

Re: 2004 king cab tmps question

I have been driving without The Tire Pressure Sensors for over two years. I got used to The Warning light staying on. The beeping stopped after a few starts.
