Just ordered my HID's

Went with 6000K low beam (55w) and fogs (35w). $300 shipped from Retro-Solutions. Digital ballasts and a lifetime warranty. Customer service has been good so far. He's returned all my emails w/in a day. Almost went the eBay route, but decided against. I'll post pics and feedback once I get 'em installed.

Re: Just ordered my HID's

Well, I ordered my kits 4/18 and to my surprise they were delivered today (4/21)!! Got the lows installed, but can't figure out where to mount the ballasts for the fogs. So far, the light output is great (6000K).....it really puts the OEM fogs to shame. I had to turn 'em off :>. Once I get the fogs done, I will post pics.

Re: Just ordered my HID's

Got the fogs installed last night. They really made the difference. I need to adjust the passenger headlight, but other than that, I'm really pleased with my purchase. Let me know if any of you are interested. Todd, from Retro-Solutions provided me with a group buy link. For the record, I have no affiliation with this company, just stumbled upon the website. The guy was very helpful and responded quickly. Ordered both kits on a Fri., got them Mon. For your viewing pleasure........

Re: Just ordered my HID's

I'm interested in a group buy. I like that they are digital ballasts.

You do know the 9005's are for the high beams, right? 9006's are for the lows. Yeah, I liked the google check out, too. Hopefully, you'll get them as quickly as I did. I don't think I'll ever have to use my high beams again.

Re: Just ordered my HID's

That's not a bad price, actually... You can do both lows and fogs for the same price as some are charging for decent quality lows.... Hmmmmm......

True. I guess what sold me was the fact that the ballasts were digital and waterproof with a lifetime warranty, Todd emailed me back w/in a day and shipping was from w/in the US. I totally sound like a spokesperson right now....lol. I'm getting some crazy stares while driving around at dusk, though.

Pay no attention to the crazy stares......they are just haters because you have a bad a s s ride!!!!!! as long as you don't get the brights when approaching on coming traffic.

Re: Just ordered my HID's

I thought our fogs were 899 or 881 bulbs... I don't see that option on the listings on that site. What did I miss?
