Okay - four days since I placed my order and according to their website it's still in processing. So after leaving two unreturned messages yesterday I finally spoke with a woman at the company.

She told me that they were checking on their supplier in Indiana today to see if they were going to have the 4" in stock. Otherwise she said she would have the 3" in black and some "upgrades" available to the 4" chrome versions...

Blech - I've dealt with these sort of deals before and they end up selling something they never intended to stock so they can get you to spend more on an "upgraded" version later. The 'ol bait and switch.

Now I'm not saying that this is what I'm dealing with - but it sure smells fishy. So to anyone else that has recently ordered these from this site - do me a favor and call their number, 800-210-7885, and ask them about your order.

I was all content on my black $199 free shipping nerfs. Oh well - I'll see what these dips say (or don't say) tonight.

I'll second that one. I looked at a lot of nerf bars and I think the Go Rhinos look best. I've been very happy with mine. They installed very easily also.

Take the $28 that you saved on the AEM and apply it to the Go Rhinos.

I called today and got some voicemail. Is there not an email address on the dealsofsteel website? I can't find it if there is. Usually there is a contact us button and you can email them.

I ordered my nerf bars sunday. Order summary says payment status completed but if doesn't show that they have shipped?!?!?!??!?!??!

I "tried" to buy a set of nerf bars from this group as well. I got a complete run around for about a week. I FINALLY got some lady on the phone and told her I was going to report the item not delivered to my credit card company and she FINALLY agreed to refund my credit card payment. I would advise that everybody stays far away from this group.

If you want the Raptor's, go to truckstuffonline.com. That is where I got mine. 4" oval black powdercoat for $205.00 free shipping. When I was having issues with the mounts, the customer service helped me quite well.

Thanks TG - I'm calling them on Monday and getting my money back. No call last night or today. Two VM's left for a "michele." If I don't hear back from them by Monday I'll order through truckstuffonline.com.

Btw - what was the issue with the mounts?

The issues with the mounts is that the top slots that are pre-drilled for the OEM mounts were not drilled properly. You will have to put them on a drill press and open the slot approx. 1/8". You will then need 6 extra washers because the nuts do not get a good bite on the brackets because of the drilling. Get an extra set of washers like the ones provided, they worked well on my application. I have had my Raptors on for two weeks now and I have not noticed any issues with the bracket modification. Will continue to monitor though.

Are u still going to order the Raptor's? If so, I will post some pics of the brackets to show what I had to do to make them work. I will then post pics of the finished product.
