Titan Air Jack

Check this out. It is not that expensive to have one if you get stuck in the mud or rock. I think it's better than hi-jack

Re: Titan Air Jack

so you just hook the hose to the exhaust and let the little barrel fill up w/ your exhaust fumes? hmm... simple, but is it safe?

As long as you don't sniff the air when you deflating it. You can hook it up to the air compressor too. I always have a "portable" air compressor in my truck. I used it to air up after I air down for off-roading.

Re: Titan Air Jack

Looks good for emergencies - but I'd back it up with a jack stand or two if you had to do any work underneath the vehicle. Trusting 2+ tons of truck to a balloon seems like a gamble.

Re: Titan Air Jack

Maybe this is just me- but wouldn't you end up with a burnt valve (or worse)with that much pressure on the exhaust system??

I don't think I'd ever even consider using that thing.

Re: Titan Air Jack

I like the idea using an air compressor. Can't see using it with the exhaust. It would seem that storing the air bag after connected to the exhaust would really stink things up in your vehicle if storing it there, as all the exhaust fumes would not escape when deflating. It's hard enough to get all the air out of an air mattress at times.

Is there an electric air compressor that would be adequate to inflate the jack and run off the bedside power outlet (for those with the bed utility package)? This would be a great jack to have for doing tire rotations on your own, lowering the truck back down on jack stands, then re-inflate to remove the stands when done.
