Borla Exhaust--the best out there?

Hi everyone!
Well after a lot of deliberation and changing, i finally purchased my 2008.5 Black Nissan Titan King cab SE with the preferred package, rockford fosgate sound system, and customized leather. I am also installing a 6 inch lift, Nitto all terrains, and moto metal chrome wheels. I also added the chrome billet and chrome nerf bars since my short pax will have a difficult time entering/exiting. I was going to get an exhaust put on as well but held off so i can do a little more researching. Is Borla exhaust the best exhaust out there or is just an expensive brand? Please give me your opinions on what exchaust sounds the cleanest and gives a substantial increase in horsepower. My truck should be ready next Thursday and i will definitely post photos. Also, another question. I have an under the seat storage bin in the rear. I would like to install an amp for my audio system eventually. Any recommendations on the best place to mount it?

Re: Borla Exhaust--the best out there?

I did the research you are about to do and recommend that you continue until you are satisfied. I chose the B & B Catback, dual in single out, single side. For the cost and the quality, I could not have chosen better. I was even able to install it myself in my driveway without welding and it is solid. Do a search on this site. QShip's comments helped me to decide.

If I had to chose today, the Nismo duals (single side) would be a serious contender. Search this site under Papa D, he has provided some interesting comments about the NISMO catback.

I purchased a Borla catback in the past for another vehicle. I had to pay to have it installed and later paid to have it removed and sent it back to Borla. There was too much noise from the rattles and my refusal to weld versus the bolt up option. I expected more as far as the quality for the price.

If you've gone this far, you'll probably consider getting a performance cold air intake and headers. See Stillen.com or Kylem on this site for more specifics. I suggest looking at the NISMO intake and Stillen Long Tubes. Stillen is coming out with a B-pipe rather than a need for Cat Simulators (electronic bypass to simulate Cats). As yet another exhaust option, I understand and know that Stillen's catback exhausts perform well. These days Stillen.com has monthly specials and free shipping is available for the most part.

Re: Borla Exhaust--the best out there?

Wow - Z04 pretty much said it all. Nismo, JBA, and Zoomers are my preferences based on what I've seen & read for Exhaust. S&B, AEM & Stillen for the CAI.

If you have plans for headers in the future, then definitely Nismo or Stillen on the exhaust.

Just my .02 - You can keep the change.

Re: Borla Exhaust--the best out there?

I had borla on my f-150 and loved it. I like teh sound of it, but $$ is a problem mainly because when I modded up my 150 I took everything off but the muffler. I am going with Dynomax on the titan becauseI like the tone and its not too loud. I will be just swapping mufflers and cutting up the rest
