Anybody have the Nissan chrome tailgate accent?

Mine is galaxy black as well. I just put the stainless (4) piece billet grill in last week as well as chrome step rails. I also had it diamond glossed at Ziebart. I'm still trying to decide on the tail light bezels. I like them, i'm just afraid they will pitt like my plastic tailgate trim did. Can you get the bezels in stainless as well?

The stick on taillight guards are plastic too. Mine are stainless steel and bolt in behind the taillights using the taillight mounting screws and a small bracket.



You can also get them in black, but what fun is that?

There are about a dozen on eBay right now... I think I paid about $114 shipped for them. I like them since they're stainless steel.

Now, a word of note, the bracket they sent with them is also stainless but wasn't bent properly to fit right. I just used a vice to straighten it out and then rebend it to the contours I thought it should have and it worked out great and doesn't rub my paint anywhere.

Yes. They're around $50 most places and are the chromed plastic. I have enough stainless steel on the front of mine so I passed on those. Again, not a big fan of plastic.

Plastic here, but I still like it. Looks good for the contrast on Silver, with the black and chrome. IMHO.

The fact is, I'm not 16. I remember back when cars had style... and class.... And honestly, I think a small amount of chrome or in my case, stainless steel, adds a bit of accent to a vehicle. I don't dislike the blacked out look. Some of those trucks on here look pretty badass! And I applaud them for their tasteful execution of the concept. I don't agree that every chrome bauble that exists looks appropriate on any vehicle. I don't live in Miami, so I can't relate to that or the "jumping" suspension on skinny tires with wire wheels.... BUT, I own MY vehicle, and that's the one I'M going to decorate, accessorize and dress up the way I see fit. Everyone else will do the same to theirs. Again, it boils down to what YOU want.

Now when someone asks for pics of something and I, or anyone else, can help them out and supply pics or websites to peruse toward that purpose, then I'm going to do it. Those with disparaging tastes who want to upchuck attitude should just go take a valium and sleep it off.

And yes, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one, but it's not an open invitation to show them to the world when someone asks for photos of something.

And remember, open your mind. Just because the fact that the "every single piece of chrome available" design scheme may not look good, doesn't mean that a select amount of appropriate trim doesn't. Be individual, do what you want, and let others do the same.

I ran a chrome bezel for about a year. I saw it on another Titan and like how it looked. Recently I was behind a silver Titan and the black tailgate panel was painted silver and I really liked how that looked as well. I decided to change out my chrome and picked up another panel at the salvage yard. I filled the holes where the round Nissan logo was and had it painted the body color (red). I also removed the rear badges and logos, nice and smooth now.

It all about what you like - it is fun to try different options. If you find you do not like the look or have crossed the line you can always go back or try something else

Very clean! I like that, especially with the matched bedcover. Taillights look nice, too! That's what I mean... on certain colors, the color-matched bibs are sweet! I also think they look great on Majestic Blue and Granite. Nice job!!!

Gosh I wish i had been able to get my tailgate "accent" off without ripping it into 20 pieces. I coulda made some beer money it looks like. I know when something needs changed on my truck when my wife says " i like it".

That is two different styles of trim used together......the U-shaped
chromed plastic & the flat stainless.
