Adding Chrome Handles and Mirrors

08 Titan CC SE Majestic Blue
Chrome Bumper and Grill
Chrome Railway Side Steps
Black Leather Interior
Out the Door- $26,200

I bought a new 08 Titan, however, it has lower quality materials than my old 04 did. For starters, the door handles and mirror covers are BLACK PLASTIC!!! They could've at least made them body colored. Now the standard XE should be plastic, but the SE should be another step up. I know some of you will say "if you want chrome, buy the Rockford Fosgate Package or the LE". But hey, I'm on a budget and trying to save some hard earned $$$, so the best route is to get the standard SE and get extra options, aftermarket.

I was looking around for the chrome handles and mirrors. Dealership wanted $157 (door handle parts) + $150 (labor costs) for handles ALONE. But this would be the OEM chrome. Went online to CourtesyParts.com and found the door handles (sold separately is cheaper than the package) for $98 + shipping. Contacted a buddy who owns a car shop, and he advised $80 (chrome mirrors) + $60 (chrome handles) installed. These are the Putco brand chrome finished ABS plastic overlays that stick on using 3M adhesive tape. Anyone familiar with the quality (short and longterm) of these???

Re: Adding Chrome Handles and Mirrors

Hey man, I agree with you. When I got my SE, it only came with Chrome bumpers. My Big-tow mirrors were chromed only after I bought covers from a fellow TT member. I am now in the process of getting chrome door covers.

For the SE models and its price it comes with, they could a given us more chrome and fog lights.
