I have a 2006 se that is wired up to just plug in a set of fog lights. when you buy a new set of fogs it comes with a new switch for you to control your fogs? my question is do i have to buy the switch as well or can i just use the switch that i have on right now since im going to do the fog light mod and the fogs will come on with the parking lights now. or do i still need the new switch? again my truck is wired for fogs and no auto headlights

I might be wrong, but I think you will need to have the fog lights hooked up to a switch. The factory (non fog light) stalk/turn signal is not linked to the pre-wired fog light harness'. It is worth a shot though. I am sure there is a way to achieve what you want.
if you buy the factory kit like from nissan parts or one of the other nissan supliers it will come w/a new headlight stalk to replace the old one.the new stalk will have the foglight switch on it.if you do a search under foglights you should see the suppliers of the factory foglight kit.i think they'll run about 150.00 dollars. tomcat
I am not completely sure that I understand your question, but let me swing anyway:
The purpose of the fog light mod is to allow you to either A:turn on the fog lights whenever you want or B:they come on with your parking lights. These are 2 different mods, the former requires more parts (a relay).
If case B is desired, nothing else is required (no extra switches). Just short the fuse and you are good to go.
If case A is desired, you need some kind of switch to pull on a relay, there are at least 2 options.
1: you can add a rocker or toggle someplace (easier to UnDo)
2: you can perform the stock mod, which allows your factory fog light switch on your stalk to turn on the relay (which in turn, brings on the lights)
Obviously, option 2 requires a stalk with the fog light switch already on it.
There are advantages to using the relay setup if you ever plan to add additional non-OEM fogs, you will already have the circuitry to pick up another relay.

Does this Help?
i am looking to do option B. fog lights on with the parking lights. so as i read i do not need a extra switch my factory turn signal would work just fine. the reason i ask i dont want to spend $150 complete oem set up. when i could spend $90 just for oem lights with out the switch. Is this correct

Yes, you could do it that way. I would still suggest using a relay and possibly a seperate switch. Just in case you ever wanted them off.

That's right.
And I agree with vipZach.
