2WD 6" Lift?

After looking at 4" it doesn't look like much of a difference. Any advice on who to look at for 6" lifts for a 2WD?

Re: 2WD 6" Lift?

I recommend either the Spindles and a coilspacer for 6.5", or if you want to go the performance route get the Spindles and a set of C/Os for up to 8" of lift. The coilovers will also improve the ride on the street, as well as yielding a better ride offroad. Not to mention, these setups will look 100 times better than a bracket lift, they will be way easier to install/remove, and if you get the C/Os your truck will ride way better.

just me i went witht he fabtech 6" cause they have the tallest spindles of cst or procomp. you can get the 6 inch fabtech then get prgs upper control arms and c/o's and get a 10". get the deaver spring pack in the back with c/o's and it will be big then you can go 3 inch body if you want more height. i am in the process of new upper control arms and c/o's

Re: 2WD 6" Lift?

What is the point of putting a 6" lift on a 2wd truck? I don't get it. Could someone explain this to me? Where can you go that you would need a lift but not 4WD?

Re: 2WD 6" Lift?

Oh, don't start that crap again... PLEASE! If some 4x2 drivers want the look gained by lifting, let it be. There's no rule or even sensible reason why a 4x4 NEEDS to be the only thing that ever gets lifted. Broaden your mind, not just your typing skills....

Re: 2WD 6" Lift?

You'd be surprised the places some 2wd vehicles can go. It all depends on the setup and terrain. Just look at many of the members who run theirs out in the desert who have 6" lifts.

I'll field this one...
I can't speak for others but for me it's NOT about lifting the truck. If you do the deserts of Kalifornia, AZ, NV and such it's about good wheel travel...

The lifting adds compression travel and the few good kits (PRG) are Performance orientated increasing total wheel travel while providing smooth damping. The lift spindles for the Titan provide a good base to build a performance suspension system including custom valved coil-over replacement shocks up front, reworked spring paks in the rear along with more custom valved shocks...

My 2wd would suck out Minnesota during the winter, but it does very well in the desert...

BTW...The performance kits ride and handle so much better then the "lift kits"...
