Rear Sonar repair- Trouble shooting steps and Buzzer r/r

Here is the troubleshooting diagram for Rear Sonar problems. Also included are steps for R/R of RSS Buzzer. Most of this was directed or provided by Baseball fan. Thanks to him for making this site so helpful. I suspect BBF can better post the troble shooting diagram. I am just learning how to attach larger pics and diagrams. (Thanks for understanding).
  1. Remove dash top cover as in pics. I started by reaching under the dash and reaching all the way up to the clip in the 4th pic- it is all the way up to the under side of the dash. the pic is taken facing up from under the dash with the emer. break just at my R ear.
  2. Unclip the wires to the bad buzzer and clip in the new buzzer.
  3. Test system to be sure the fix worked and that the buzzer was the problem/ only problem
  4. screw in the new buzzer and reinstall the dash panel.

Glad you got it fixed, that sucker is where I though it was. Not bad that you don't have to take the cluster apart to get to it.
Great pictures too.

You are right. This is a 10 min repair (now that Ive done it once.)

PS- is there a better way to post the trouble shooting steps. How did you get it to all fit. I used photobucket and attachment manager and my version still isnt as slick.

quest,
The diagrams I have are attached to my post above. I attached pg 1 different than page 2 because I was having tech difficulty doing so. Baseballfanz is an AMAZING source of help and provided the pages to me. If these 2 pages lack what you need, consider a PM t BBFanz. I hope this helps. Good luck. Feel free to PM me further if needed.

Re: Rear Sonar repair- Trouble shooting steps and Buzzer r/r

Does anyone know where I can buy the buzzer? (besides the dealership)

I search online but didn't find anything.
