Exclamation Hella 500FF Walmart warning!!

Well after seeing nice installs with off road lights in the lower grill, I decided that I would give it a shot since. Well I hit the local Walmart and grab two boxes and hide them from the wife.... , well today I decided that I would open them on up and see what I am working with. I look at both boxes and one is sealed up and the other isnt, but I didnt think too much about that.

So I open up the sealed box like a kid on Christmas day and sure enough, there was only one light in the box, it was a Hella 500 and the damn thing was USED . So I crack open the second box that wasnt sealed and lucky me there were actually 2 Hella 500FF's.

I just wanted to let you guys know about this so it doesnt happen to you and you waste another trip back to the store. I am glad I didnt have my grill ripped apart and discovered this and hope it doesnt happen to anyone else.

I bbuy open boxed items, and floor models, etc. I always check carefully if I see the tape is disturbed.

Just bought a Milwaukee 4-1/2" Grinder from Sears on closeout. List 120, advertised as on sale for about 88. Just a bit more than a DeWalt. Teller said that sounded high for a Closeout, manager rang it up and it was 30 bucks! Made in Mexico too, not overseas like all the others.

PS. Some like a 3 light setup.

Yeah I saw the three lights on some Titans and I figure if I cant get the four to work, three will have to do. Walmart is just funny like that sometimes.

I work at a wal-mart and know it happens all the time and wanna say sorry. it's not really all wal-marts fault. Just the yesterday we had someone return a sony xplod 12" subwoofer. That person bought it opened the day before but never looked in it. There was a blown 12" visonik subwoofer wrapped and covered just as if it was what was supposed to be in there. Most of time unless you tell them something is wrong or missing it just get put in a cart and sent back to the floor. The people in customer service never look cause most of them dont know what is even right

Thats kinda what I was thinking, some guy swapped it out and saved a buck or two. I dont blame walmart and when I took it back today I told the lady at the customer service desk so it wont happen again, on a side note someone put too much wax on the walmart floor today and some ladies and a few kids slipped. I smell a lawsuit involving neck braces and exaggerated injuries.

Re: Hella 500FF Walmart warning!!

my wife received one of those salad rinser things from walmart for christmas. We didnt need it so we returned it. When the opened the box to double check the contents, it turned out to be used and the damn thing was still wet inside. Took us almost 20 minutes to convince them we never even opened the damn thing. Times like that I remember why I avoid Walmart like the plague.

Haha, I hear you on that one.
And I guess I dislike it so much do to the fact that down here in southern ca they are all normally overrun by illegal mexicans that let their 20 kids run around and don't watch them.

Re: Hella 500FF Walmart warning!!

are these spots or flood or euro beams? I'd consider removing the lower grill to put a couple of these with HID's retrofitted in them.
