Tonneau cover advice please

I'm just beginning to modify my silver 08 Titan and would like some feedback.

I'm going to remove the plastic bedliner and get line-X. I want the line-X xtra paint-matched to my truck and dont know if I would have to alter/modify the bedliner for certain tonneau covers.

I really like the idea and look of the retrax retractable cover, but saw someone say he had to cut notches out of his plastic bedliner. Also-I dont plan to put expensive electronics etc in the back, but I would like to be able to put luggage in the back without worrying about it getting wet. I will be making trips cross country for the next year or two...

Thanks in advance for all the info and advice

Re: Tonneau cover advice please

I have the pace edwards electric bed cover. Kind of pricey, but it sure is nice to just hit a button and it opens, or closes by itself. If it is in the closed position it is locked without having to get a key and lock it. I can walk up to my truck with my arms full of stuff and hit the button and it is open by the time I get to it. I have had it for over 2 years, and have had no problems with it. I highly recommend it.

Re: Tonneau cover advice please

The spray-on bedliner will not need any modification for a tonneau cover.

A tonneau cover that covers the rails as opposed to attaching to them at the sides may provide better water-proofing. Take a look at an Undercover. Very strong, lightweight, can be removed, and costs less than fiberglass covers.

Nothing wrong with Retrax though, it's a winner also.

I have gotten lots of positive feedback on pace Edwards and RollBak for retractable covers. The Torza is a good trifolding one also

I too am looking at a Line-X. What price were you quoted? I was told $480 under the rail......that seemed high to me.
