How about the unmarked police cars with the dark tint???

Deadriver-I would think an officer would pull you over on suspection (sp) of dark glass, and verify it is film when you roll it down and sees the edge.

Hang on "factory tinted glass" doesn't refer to the glass being tinted when it was made.It is more of a reference to the glass meeting NHTSA standards when the car rolls out of the factory.Therefore,no matter what glass you manage to find in the aftermarket,if it is darker than what your truck came with while it was being built to standards,it will be illegal.If you want tinted windows just go get them done and deal with the consequences.Getting some type of special "factory tinted" glass is a waste of money and not going to serve the purpose you are hoping for

its not really a waste when your looking at a $200 + ticket every couple of weeks, PA, NY, MA, RI arent like Cali they go right for your pocket book

You're not understanding,anything darker than the tint that originally came with your truck will still get you a ticket,regardless of how the tint shade came about.If you're will to deal with it,(by the way I do also) why not just tint the original? Buying "darker tinted" glass is not going to keep you from getting tickets,and is a hell of a lot harder to return to stock than film would be to get the ticket cleared.

No you're definitely right.....its just frustrating cause I know how gay the northeast is with their laws and down south no one seems to care.
