I don't know what tyvm is?

It is very secure, I would not stand on it, but I have placed things on it before. I don't think I would put anything more than about 50 lbs on it. It is very durable, I live almost 4 miles down a very rough dirt road, and my whole truck shakes from the washboard roads. The cover has not given me any trouble and I have had it for over 2.5 years. Yes mine is the metal one. Glad I could help.

how much did that thing cost you. 4wheelparts just quoted me $1200 just for parts, wanted to know if that's about right.
