Scangauge Tranny Temp Monitoring

I sent an e-mail to the Scangauge folks yesterday and asked about transmission temperature monitoring capability for the Titan with the Add a Gauge feature. Response below:

Hi,

Unfortunately right now we do not yet have Nissan vehicle specific commands. Hopefully in the next couple of months. When we do, the trans temp will most likely be available. So far we have not had any vehicles that do not have a trans temp sensor hooked up to the OBD2.

Regards,
Joey Snyder
Linear Logic

So, hopefully in the coming months this is true. If it is, then the Scangauge II will certainly be on my shopping list. All the features in addition to monitoring the trans. temp would be sweet. I don't have a B/T Titan, but want to pull a camper in the future and would like transmission temperature monitoring. Yes, the aftermarket temp. gauges are certainly an option (and cheaper), but this would be much cleaner, easier to install, and include all the nice Scangauge options. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: Scangauge Tranny Temp Monitoring

I'd love to see that as well. Im not sending mine in to be upgraded until they can give us that feature.

I agree with Burgy. I was going to send in my SG2 for the X-Gauge up grade this week but will wait and see if they get the Nissan commands.

Re: Scangauge Tranny Temp Monitoring

Good thing you posted this. I almost bought one. I am going to go with the Auto-Meter 4357 instead and install it myself. Thanks.

Re: Scangauge Tranny Temp Monitoring

If your at all interested in the other features offered by a Scangauge I wouldn't waste my $ on that Autometer gauge. Its 1/3 the cost of the SC, I'd rather buy it now and upgrade it later.
