Thumbs up Truxedo Deuce installed!

I just finished installing my new Truxedo Deuce cover. I couldn't find anyone with this cover on a Titan, so I took a chance and bought one on Ebay for a Great price...$386 shipped. Everyone else wants ~$539 for this cover.

I absolutely love it. This is the only soft cover I have seen that can hinge open at the truck cab for fast access to that area, plus it still rolls up all the way like a normal soft cover. It's the best of both world's. And there are no arching bows to remove when rolling up, the bows sit flat and roll up with the cover.

Re: Truxedo Deuce installed!

The rails clamp right into the Utilitrac channel. It was pretty easy to install...took about an hour with me really taking my time.

The only tricky part was aligning the Rear and Front rail sections, but it's easy when you understand they are not supposed to both be aligned at the same height at the bottom in order for them to be flush on top. (See pic) This section is right where the funky hinge section sits. You would know what I mean if you were installing one of these.

The front rails sections (where the cover hinges opens) basically sit right on the Utilitrac rails. The back rails sections sit about 1/4 above the Utilitrac rail.

You can still use your Utilitrac cleats. You can slide them in the track while installing the rails for the cover, and leave them in all the time (kinda nice this way since no one can steal them without removing the tonneau cover.

Or you can do what I did and cut a tiny slot into the top of each Utilitrack rail and slip the cleats in that way. (See pic) You cannot use the front Utilitrac rail though, as it it covered by the latching mechanism for the front hinged section.

It is not perfectly waterproof, a little bit of water gets in at the front cab corners, very small amount. You could add some weatherstripping in some key spots at the cab corners to stop this, but I am not concerned in having a totally waterproof bed.

Re: Truxedo Deuce installed!

I was wondering how the deuce worked, thanks for the pics. I got the standard lo pro model and also love it! It is very well designed and well worth the extra $$ imo. I got a great deal and only paid $180 out of pocket!
