I have 265/70R18's on stock rims now - I would like to put something beefier to mathch the lift - any recommedations?

Depends on what you want it to look like.. how beefy? I like the look of the Toyo MT's or the Nitto Mud grapplers.

Re: Tire selection for new 6" lift?

I have the stock 18's and I would like to add an inch (or two max) in overall height. but I cannot find anything that fits and has substantial tred.

What sizes are the Toyo's or Nittos?

Check out the Toyo M/T's in 35x12.50 - great tire.

Re: Tire selection for new 6" lift?

I'm not really sure on the specs of the stock rim...I think they may be 8"...?

the specs on the tire say it will fit 8.5-11 (rim width)

Re: Tire selection for new 6" lift?

Don't you guys get rubbing with the 35's? I am putting a 6" Fabtech lift on my 2004 Titan and everyone I have talked to told me that they had rubbing issues with 35's and had to do some trimming. Due to this I am going with 33's. I like the look of 35's better but I am on a budget and don't want to get too involved with more mods.

I am putting 18x9 ProComp 7105's w/ Toyo M/T's 33x12.5. If you guys have any advice on how to help get 35's to fit please let me know.

Thank you,

Thank you,
You just need to make sure your rims have the right offset and backspacing and you'll clear 35"s no problem.

Meg

You replied to me on an earlier post as well, thank you. Another dumb question if I may. How do you go about finding out what the correct backspacing and offset is?

Thanks for your help

No problem. I'd pm Norcal4x4, he knows alot about backspacing/offset/rim width and he could probably tell you what would work best.
