Does a 2008 Long bed camper shell exist?

I cannot find a camper shell or "cap" for my 2008 SE crew cab long bed anywhere! Not the kind that you go camping in, but rather the kind that are usually the same color as the truck with the two windows on the sides. I have tried all major brands, and cannot find one that makes a 7'3" size for this truck. Anyone ever heard of a company that will make one in custom sizes?

You want the Leer 100R. It's the only one available. Myself and Exocet had ordered the Leer 100XQ but Leer cancelled prodution of that model shell.

I should have mine before the middle of June.

For 7' beds, Leer, Century, and A.R.E. all make a basic fiberglass cap. If you have an 8' bed, I think Century is it. They are all lower end caps. Nobody is making higher-end caps for the long bed Titans. As gksmith mentioned, Leer cancelled development of their top-of-the line 100XQ.

Thanks for the info guys. I lust ordered the Leer 100R. Not a bad looking cap for a base model. I should have it by months end. I'll post a pic or two.

I just spoke to LEER. I ordered a 100XQ for my long bed several months ago, and seeing this thread, threw me for a loop. They said the mold has been produced, the test fit didn't work the way they had hoped, but it is still in production. As soon as they finish tweaking the mold, they will start production. I was told a few weeks, but it will still be available.

You are lucky that Leer doesn't make a shell for Titans.

I purchased a Leer 100XQ for my pickup. Looked great and all but the rear glass door didn't close quite right. After three adjustments everything seemed fine. This weekend the door fell completely off shattering on the the tailgate and scratching the paint on my truck. Could have been much worse if it caused a wreck. I called the dealer and they said apparently there is a set screw that can work loose and the door can fall off. News to me! The clincher is the shell is 14 months old and out of warranty (despite the three adjustments made under warranty). Tough luck on the truck paint and glass door but I can buy a new door for $ 450.00. No guarantees it won't fall off again though. No thanks Leer won't be buying anything else from you (ever). Something has changed down at the Leer factory for the worse. Moral of the story is: Beware of Leer products, check your set screws (were you told to do that?) and maybe Snugtop is worth the money cause I am out $1000.00 in paint. Maybe more if the door falls off again.

Well, I took delivery of my 100XQ for my 2008 long bed on September 27. I have been back to the LEER dealer twice already, and have to go back again. The cap on my 2005 is perfect, this one is FAR FROM IT!

Sorry to hear you bought a Leer too. Do what you can while it is under warranty. I'm still trying to get an answer from factory rep. No reply, nothing. Let us know if you find anything out.
