Fire and Ice LEDs

Hey guys and gals,
I have been reading that many of you have been running the Fire and Ice or Recon LEDs. My main reason for these lights would be to help me see whenever I am backing up. Are the whites in reverse mode bright enough to consider installing. My other option would be to install some angel eyes or some aftermarket fogs. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

aloha, Derrick

Re: Fire and Ice LEDs

Howzit Derrick,

You thinking about getting those? They look more cosemetic rather than being functional...IMHO.

If you need more light backing up, then try adding addtional lighting. I've seen guys up here in OR/WA who install KC lights under the bumper, although none I've seen were Titans.

Back in Hawaii we used to put in Halogen bulbs for our reverse lights (call out guys to race)...bright as hell!! but, leave them on too long and they start to melt the plastic lens.

Re: Fire and Ice LEDs

That's kinda what I thought. I guess I'll be wiring up some KCs. Are you from the islands? Man I dunno if it's me just getting older or what, but I can't see shiat when reversing. Last time I went to reverse I backed into my friends Mock Orange hedge (not even a Heni in me).

Born and raised on Oahu and lived in Ewa Beach. I moved to Oregon 7 years ago.

I know what you talking about by gettting old...i just hit 30 and i'm already feeling it. LOL! must be the mainland lifestyle that just accelerates everything.

I miss it back home, but everthing is just to expensive!
