I've got a better idea, why don't you PM me and swap for my black SE B/T mirrors... heck, give me an extra day and I'll wet sand and prep them for paint for you too...

Thanks, but the deal is I bought B/T mirrors for my truck not to long ago with the chrome. I am in the process of blacking out all the chrome on my truck and was wondering if that chrome piece was interchangeable or if not can the chrome be painted black? I would trade them but I would like to have mirrors that are equal in age.... because these are basically brand new!

The backs are removable. And yes, you can paint over a chrome one. I am going to have my auto body guy paint mine body color as soon as I get a little extra cash.

Thanks for the info. It looks hard to get it removed is it? Has anybody removed that piece? If so how...

I am not 100% sure but if you move the mirror around a little bit you should be able to access the clips. Someone told me too that the big mirror will pop right off if you yank on it.
