08 Tailgate spingloaded hinges for my 04?
Anyone know where i can get the spring loaded hinges for my tailgate on my 04. I like the easy put down and lift. I belive the 06-08 has this?

^^^^ My buddy just did that the other day to get our golf clubs out. He has an 08 and I have an 04. I thought he was going to take himself out. It tost him back a foot or 2 out of suprise.

So this courtesy part, does it work ok. Its just that my 3 year old son on day reached up and unlatched it and if it wasent for me catching it, it would have fell on him.

Could he not do an 05 swap, or are they the same as the 08? My 05 has the “spring” loaded tail gate.

I suppose one could swap a whole bed........ but I believe the hinge assembly is different from 04 to the rest..
The one from Courtesy requires drilling a few holes... that kind of turned me off
