Sliding bed divider & truck cap?

I just got a truck cap and from the way the clamps are I know I can't use a sliding divider and expect it to move freely up/down the length of the truck bed.

What I'd like to know is can the divider be inserted into the utilitrac and move around (limited movement) without having to remove the clamps?

I want to divide the front of the truck bed from the rear so that I can keep some camping items up near the front and not have them fall over. I need to be able to move the divider some in order to get the items out when needed.

I was going to use my bed extender but that would require removing the clamps in order to push it forward in the truck bed (plus, I'm not sure it would fit due to the clamps).

Re: Sliding bed divider & truck cap?

I have a truxedo with 3 clamps on each side of the track. I have a bed divider and works fine with the limited movement. The bed divider can be turned 180 degrees to get the most use of it depending on how much movement you need.

If your cap is using your track, you will have to take the clamps off to slide the divider in, then put the clamps back on.
