Tinting the Titan

Im looking to make the back a bit darker and to tint the front the same, what percent should i go with to make the back darker? will they peel off the original and place new sheet or will they just overlay im guessing its somewhere between 30 35 right now?

The tint in the rear glass is actually in the glass itself and cannot be taken off. Since it's already "tinted" probably a real light percentage will make it darker. As to match the front, you'll really need to get the rear tint first than they can match. Check your local laws before making it too dark.

Re: Tinting the Titan

I had all of windows done with 5%! The back windows are very dark! Since the rears are factory tinted, it will be hard to get an exact match on the front and rears! They will get close, be probably won't be an exact match!

Re: Tinting the Titan

Eh down here in Cape Coral, Florida there pretty much is no law for tinting anything will fly, My dads H2 has 5 percent tints and never had a problem with it being too dark, but its impossible to see out of at night, Thanks for the help so they will just put a lighter layer over the original to see how it works and then well match the front, ive seen some people with 50% front window do you think that will make a difference

Re: Tinting the Titan

Anything on the front window will make a difference! Depending on the tint, they can get close, but definately not an exact match!

Re: Tinting the Titan

15% is the factory rear, had my fronts tinted to match....

it's gets too hard to see at night with really dark tint... i just like to have the windows match and found that driving with tinted fronts keeps my one arm from getting darker, and is really great for sun glare. i like it at night too, you don't have that annoying headlight glare coming in.. unless they have silver star bulbs.

Re: Tinting the Titan

I just had 20% done on the front. Seemed to match the rears real well. Darker then legal but not so bad that you cant see in up close.

Re: Tinting the Titan

I had my fronts done with 20% it almost matches the factory rears.
In certain lights you can tell that the front is aftermarket. from the inside if you stare hard enough the front looks darker.

the oem tinting is around 15-18%. add 35 to it and it will be close to 8%. i put a 4% strip and 45% on the windshield and it made my factory tint look more like 10%. may add more cause its hot as hell in florida.
