rear axle seals

I am getting trutrac installed on thursday, I bought some seals from the stealership, part number 43252-7S200< i bought 2 of them. is this the right seal and do I need both of them.

I paid 44 bucks apiece!!!!<dam nissan and their overpriced OEM parts. and did not check with Dana.

c'mon bbomar, here in AK we take it in the shorts, i am guessing aroung 1/2 that price anywhere else, BTW these are the right seals.......right?

I think you need to replace the axle bearings & bearing retainers to replace the seals. IMHO you should also use new carrier bearings.

In the picture at that link, I think 8 is the seal, 9 is the bearing, 10 is the bearing retainer and 11 is a snap ring.

I think you need to buy 8,9,10, and 11 for each side to replace the seals as you have to break the retainer 10 and split or press off the bearing to replace the seal.

Actually when you take it in for the axle seal TSB, all these are replaced

.rear axle spacer (need Left and right) 43070-7S200

.rear axle bearing (need Left and right) 40210-7S210

.rear axle seal (need Left and right) 43252-7S200
